The Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) was established in 1954. Since that date, HBRC had performed its mandate in organizing and issuing codes of practices and implementation of buildings and construction. HBRC is an independent government research center affiliated to the Ministry of Housing, utilities and Urban development. It performs a leading role in enhancing the performance of the building, housing and urban development sector in both the local and regional context.
